Dino Posted April 25, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 25, 2014 the spare tire carrier is a re-purposed bicycle rack. i got it from a friend long ago who sold the patent for this early swing out design to Yakima, this one is an early prototype. i had to build a the part to hold the tire. the top of the bike rack has a "reciever" so it can accept a two or 4 bike carrier. it is light and can be easily removed. easy way to get the spare out of the cargo area and free up some space. i'd like to build a bumper but this will do for now.
