  1. I replaced the snapped parking brake cable on my 1988 Range Rover Classic. It snapped in the parking lot at the END of an A's game with my family in the car. Not bad, 30 years. SO, easy to replace? Putting it back in was very easy. Taking it out? There are 9 steps in the manual. Due to gunk, took me 3 hours. and it was hard to undo the nuts coated in 30 years of blood sweat and gears. But its done. Thanks to Roverware for the exact right new part at a great price. I can park on hills again. Now on to the NEXT item on the list.
  2. Like that Front bumper. Part stock brush bar part Safariguard looking maybe RTE looking. Nice rig, great score.
  3. Yeah, I don't know. I guess I will find out. I may reach out to Club Sponsor CT Motorwerks for the "shade tree" or professional job? Then go from there. It looks pretty simple as it is a clevis on the lower end and as simple on the top end...BUT, it's not pre stretched (I didn't opt for that additional cost) and that may be the issue.
  4. From Friday.... snapped the parking brake cable. Ordered a new one and will soon learn to install.
  5. Got my rig back from CT Motorworks with steering and front axle done. Needed to het used to the new sensation of changed pitman arm, Roverware parts etc So drove the beast to Sac in traffic, rode .y bike from Rocklin to Auburn and back (incl Baxter Grade) then beat to heck tired, drove the beast home. Feels great to have fresh steering.
  6. If done in time will try to cone up. If not, so is life.
  7. What did I do? I finally got it off for a proper repair, instead of the curbside one. Not bad that in 11 years of ownership it has been in to a shop twice. Cant wait for its return. Love my Rover.
  8. Some time the road less traveled is so for a reason.
  9. hey Colin. So, what are your thoughts. Stock RRC steel wheels. Thinking of running them as they came, no paint. So Silverish...figure easy to spot any issues with leaks.

Think they will look funny on the green truck?
