  1. I apologized, I have no idea where I can ask for this but I am looking for a transmission and CDL for my 2000 D2. Transmission went out and I need to replace it and since it doesn't have CDL, might as well add it. If you have any forsale - please email me at alwantvsneed@gmail.com or text me at 415-813-1375 Located in Manteca, CA - i can travel to 100+ area. Thanks AL
  2. I’m a little desperate to get this truck running. I had an engine block sleeve issue so I’m looking for a replacement. i know British Atlantic sells a complete block but it’s way out of my budget. Car / Mechanic is located in Fresno, but I’m located in NorCal. I can pick it up. Thanks
  3. I finally open up my engine and got a bad cylinder Wall… Do you know who and where I can find a block? I don’t want to scrap it and part the car out.
  4. Long story short, was on my way to doing 5-7 day trip but I blew my head gasket at Death Valley on my D2 I’ll be towing it back to Manteca… I’m looking for anyone or a shop that can help me replace my gasket. Do y’all know anyone or a recommendation? I just change my waterpump, hoses, and thermostat for this trip… super bum that my gasket gave up on our first day trip
  5. Long story but I'm parting it out but I will need your stock items. Make me an offer rather than the junkyard getting it and crushing it. 2000 D2 ARB Bumper front Metal Rear Bumper - No idea what brand - been awhile 2" lift kit Fox Shocks with OME springs with 1" luck8 spacers Thats it for now, the rest of the aftermarket parts I can take out and sell it later or transfer to a new D2 when I find one. Thanks Al
  6. The Toyos are free, so I'll take it for now. If not happy with it what other tires you recommend? I might ask for another set of 265 if they're willing.
  7. Thanks Graeme. I'll eventually start upgrading the drive train little by little. I wasn't sure if I should keep this vehicle, I was planning on upgrading my truck but for now, I'll keep on adding until then.
  8. Base on the photo posted up there, he has the same wheels (Method 701 16x8 0 offset with 285/75-16) he's not rubbing. But he's running wildpeaks. Toyo contacted me and sending tires. I'll try it and see how it'll be.
  9. I sent you a pm but I think I got my answer on 285/75-16... Someone posted this photo and got my answer that it does not rub.
  10. Pls, if you're able to. I'll bring my jack etc lol... Let me know when's a good time for you before I order new tires.
  11. Basically here's my note... Base on what a few people told me 285/75/16: even taller than 265/75-16, requires around 3" of lift. Very wide and requires trimming. consider upgrading to hd axles & getting lower gears. 255/85/16: a bit taller than 285/75-15 but narrower. consider upgrading to hd axles & getting lower gears. Method 702 $852.24 set Tire rack Ko2 285/75 $212 ea Ko2 265/75 $195 ea Americas tire Falken wildpeak 265/75 $179 285/75 $216 ea Patagonia 285/75 $174 ea
  12. Are close to San Jose? Can I try them on? A friend said I won't clear 285...
  13. I was running KO2's, it was a good tire but a bit loud on the pavement/freeway. Thinking of the Falken Wildpeak or Patagonias.
  14. I was running 255/70-16 with 2" lift. They look tiny so I'm looking for bigger tires without giving me any drive train issues since I'm still running stock drive trains... I want to get 33's but I'm worried lol Any wheels and tire suggestion?
  15. Ahhh sounds fun - let me see if I can gather a few things for the requirements...
  16. How can you tell on which has rear locking diff base on the looks etc? Reason I asked because most of the for sale post I’ve seen, they never post anything about it. Now I just need to confirm if I can fit an 18†wheel. Thanks
  17. Thank you very much for the reply. I originally planned to purchase the DEFENDER since it announced, but since the pandemic hit.... I'm tightening my money a bit. I'm currently have a D2 but I just feel like its super underpowered with all the gears I currently have. I want to get another Land Rover, so Im trying to do my diligent research... Porsche Cayenne is on my list as well.
  18. I really want a new daily and comfortable car to drive when doing 8+hours driving on pavement to get to the trails... I remember seeing one at last years at the annual meet, I’m trying to find more information on turning these into trail capable... What is you guys opinion on these RRS? https://expeditionportal.com/expedition-portal-project-range-rover-sport-final-report/ I want the 2010+ since it has more power.
  19. Where can I find these re-gears and who can install them? When it comes to Engine and Gears- I leave that to everyone else
  20. I may have spent extra $700 on the Fox Shocks and OME springs... but I have been super happy with them with all my trips so far. Where do you guys recommend to buy the shafts? After the suspension, I haven't really spent much on anything else because we will be replacing our truck soon... The D2 is just horrible going up hill, did a Death Valley trip recently and the truck was struggling on 395 up hill.
  21. I’m 50/50, won’t know until after Xmas since we’re heading to Baja.
  22. After doing much research, I got myself a 2†lift. Fox Shocks with ARB HD springs all around. I added a 1†spacer on the back and opted out on the front because I had a feeling that the front might be higher with all the weight on the back... I know they’re twice more than TF kit but I just read way too many issues that people are having with it... That was a tough install job. Doable but very tough. One thing I can say that the ride is night and day difference.. can corner better and just able to handle the weight I have on the truck. I don’t know what the difference between medium and HD springs but these feels a bit soft. I thought it was gonna be a rough heavy duty but it isn’t.
  23. Are you just adding a second battery for winches or is it a deep cycle battery? Started with mine today but it’ll be in the trunk.
  24. Pulled the trigger, it was a bit more than the TF HD but I think base on my research, I will be more happy with these - I will keep you guys updated on this set up while traveling to BAJA next month. Also ordered diff guards and a driveshaft.
  25. Here's what I gathered so far which is twice the $$ for the TF HD 2" LIFT KIT. $686 Fox IFP Shocks $379 OME 1.5" MED Front and HD Rear Springs $150 for Front and Rear Spacers This is all comes out to $1200 versus the $600 for the TF HD KIT... I feel like base on my research I'm gonna end up having to redo my suspension in a year or two if I go the cheaper way... UGH! The headache
