ChrisJB
My new Borla catback exhaust system will arrive today. I can do the install in my driveway if I just use the supplied exhaust clamps, but would welding the joints be better? I had midas install the catback on my neon and they welded the joints together. Dont know if there is a performance/durability advantage in doing that? Also does anyone make headers for the disco II?
Gotrovr
IMO, nothing wrong with a bolted or clamped exhaust system if installed properly. If a problem develops, then have a muffler shop weld the joints
ChrisJB
ill go ahead and use the clamps as it will save me some money obviously doing it myself. I'll use the soapy water trick for checking for leaks.
