GraemeWare
All, Well what a blast! Just (well, an hour ago) got back Pismo after a 4.5 hour drive (and wash!). Normal traffic except for one little fender bender. Went straight to the pay-wash to get rid of the salt. Notable parts of the trip for me were an uncontrolled descent of a sheer drop-off, just as I was reading the sign, "Caution. Beware, sudden steep drop-offs". While washing the truck we see that we did actually land on the back corner, bending some body-work. Oh well, nothing that the air-cutter and angle grinder won't put right. Colin decided to try to modify his 'new' RRC. Not content with breaking his front drive shaft on the D2 at Hollister during the annual event last year, he decided to baptize his RRC. See the accompanying five photographs. In the right order the first 3 are the sequence of events, the next the radius arm, and the last the dislocation cone, which doesn't seem to work in all circumstances!! Thanks to everyone who attended. More later .... Graeme

GraemeWare
Too bad Colin broke his truck... It was actually all a big ruse to get someone else to tow his trailer out of the dunes while he played in the sand .... Graeme
