Monday May 9
Pack up and head out exploring Blue canyon ohv trails.Departure time will vary if members are arriving.return to Bretz Mill Campground
Tuesday May 10
Head out to Bald mountain trail. this will be a full day so bring lunch.We can head back to Bretz or camp at Edison
Camp Location
Bretz Mill Campground
Located in a setting of pines and oak, Bretz Mill Campground is located alongside Big Creek. Some sites are located on the creek. The location of the campground makes an great get-a-way for picnicking, cooling off during hot days and overnight campging, especially when higher elevation campgrounds are under snow. The area also serves as a popular OHV base camp. Access to facility is paved.
Campground is maintained by Mountain Toppers 4 WD club.
Directions:
From Fresno travel east on Hwy 168 through Prather to 4 way stop (there will be a park and ride on right side of road). Turn left toward Shaver Lake, travel 8.8 miles, turn right on Tollhouse road, travel .7 mile turn left on Peterson Road, travel 10.7 miles to road 10S02 (Peterson road turns into 10S02), travel 4 miles then left into the campground.

Nearest services located in Prather or Shaver Lake, approximately 40-45 minutes away. Cell phone service not available in campground area.
Drinking water not provided. No garbage service - Please pack out what you pack in.

Bald Mountain OHV Route is a moderate trail that climbs to the fire lookout on Bald Mountain. It is a good trail for beginning off-road drivers to practice on before moving to harder trails. The route should be within the capabilities of most stock high-clearance 4WD vehicles
