Mr.BlueSky
Members, It has been another crazy year with pandemics, supply chain issues, and of course leaky Rovers! Even though this year has been anything but normal, the club has once again managed to have an exception busy year! Without further ado, here is 2021, wrapped up. _____ The year had barely started and we had members organizing a fantastic run of the Mojave Road! Next up was the annual Shaver Lake Snow Run in February with another great turn out! There was plenty of fun for all! And before the snow could even melt, the club was headed down to the desert for a Death Valley Trip in March! The club then caught some of the last snow of the season on a Bowman Lake Run April saw the club out at Indian Valley Reservoir where the members camped, fished, and even did some trash cleanup to help maintain the area. In May, the club had its fill of both desert and snow - it was off to the Oceano Dunes! Hell Hole was the monthly offroad gathering event - this event is quickly becoming a favorite and will be led again next year! In July a member led the club up to Corral Hallow for a nice laid back camping weekend. We got to see a lot of members we hadn't seen in quite some time on this trip! A second trip was also run in July out to Barrett Lake for some rock crawl action. A member's father had his 70th Birthday celebration up at Salmon Creek ranch, a great laid back event, with plenty of activities for the whole family. By now it time for the long awaited Rovicon 3 event! However, Mother Nature was not so kind. Forest fires forced us off the Rubicon Trail and onto Slick Rock instead. Nevertheless it was yet again, a successful and memorable event. Fast forward to September, a good number of members went up to represent the club at the Great American Rover Rally held in Moab, Utah. Only a few weeks later, it was time for the Annual Event! A weekend spent camping, trail riding, and catching up with old friends. Not to mention a great raffle and chili cookoff this year! Only a few more trips and December was here - faster than we expected. It was time for the Christmas tree run! There was no snow this year, but that did not stop the club from having fun! And that brings 2021 to a close. We hope you have a wonderful new year, and look forward to seeing you in 2022 for yet another spectacular year! lutz and Gotrovr
