AA Journey
Hi there, My friend and are planning to go camping during the thanksgiving weekend. We still deciding where we are going to camp. Two options he have so far is to camp at Yosemite NP or head over to Lake alpine near Bear Valley. I know there maybe some snow around there already which will make it more fun. If you guys have not yet decided where you guys are going. You are more than welcome to join us. sasquatch
Be sure to check snow elevations and mountain pass hwys. 108, 89 and others are currently closed. You have to decide if you want to mud camp or go to 5k elevation and snow camp this time of year.
CNelson
We'd go south, where it's warmer,..not ready for snow, yet.
AA Journey
If you want warmer weather, Death valley is the place to go. During this time of year you can find tempetures in the 80s. Yosemite is not a go for us. All campground are booked for the thanksgiving weekend. We are just going to head up to the sierras and camp where ever on a side road. If you are heading south to the LA area and heading back on sunday. Be ready for traffic along highway 5. It can be a parking lot. Colin can testify to that. :-)
