DPittl
I was wondering who was planning on going to HH next weekend for the MORG? I will be going up Saturday and camping overnight. It would be great to see some other Rovers out there in the mud...
Jantiz
My December business trip got cancelled so I could go but not if it's all rainy and muddy. Not my cup of tea!
DPittl
According to the weather it looks like 30-40% chance of rain over the weekend. Things could get interesting with my all-terrains... I'll probably be heading down in the afternoon late Friday and hopefully able to find a decent camp spot in the dark on Friday night. Any recommendations? I'll look for you guys out on the trails or at the Ranger station on Saturday morning. I'm in a Bonatti Gray LR3. Jantiz
Word to the wise if you've never been to Hollister during mud season. The mud seems to stay only to the lower elevations. Once you start climbing, there seems to be fairly good traction on the trails. However, places like the new obstacle course turn into body damage traps. The soil turns to clay, you might as well be sliding around in butter. With so many fence posts and large bolders and tree stumps around, it's very easy to run into one if you're not extra careful. My advice, stay out of the new O course if it's all muddy if you're alone and/or if you don't have MT tires.
