The season is getting late, but let's try one last day at the Rubicon!
Just a quickie for Veteran's Day; we'll head in at Loon lake at 9:00 AM and play on the slabs for the day before heading out via Wentworth Springs.
This is a moderate part of the trail and there are lines suitable for anybody from basic to built. There's also some interest in camping at Spider lake Friday night for those with more time available.
Any Rover is welcome to come test the Rubicon waters, but I would recommend you have at least some basic upgrades to include good AT tires, diff guards, bumpers and sliders. You may not actually need all those things if you choose your lines carefully but do keep in mind if you come without some of them you have a higher risk of damage.
Lockers, full armor, and big tires are not needed for this trip. We're not looking to run the full trail, just get some time in on the easier sections before the snows set in.
Speaking of snow - keep in mind this IS a mountain trail and snow is a possibility any time. Come prepared! While we expect this to be a fairly easy day Mother Nature can change your plans at a whim!
